Sutphen Tanker Update

May 01

New update from Sutphen East, as some members from the tanker committee made the trip north to look over the progress once again.
The 2500 gallon tank is now mounted onto the body and compartments are getting led lighting, with 2 getting pull out trays.
The 28 ft extension and 16 ft roof ladders are ready to be set in the rack. Lots of other jobs getting done as well. ... (Full Story & Photos)

The daytime rescue box was dispatched for entrapment involving one vehicle on its side into a utility pole. Rescue 8 and 12, along with EMS 89-1 and Medic 1, arrived to find the victim was confined, not entrapped. New updates from Sutphen East. The body is now mounted onto the frame and the roto-ray is mounted as well. Looks like the 2500 gallon tank will be next to go on.

It's great to see the same members still around helping when they can, maybe with different hair color and body styles, but still giving time to NBFC. No Caption Training and More Station Work

April 24

Members went in two directions tonight again. Juniors and new members went over 1.75 hand lines, how to pull and repack lines. Other members worked on moving extra office furniture, and some of the fitness equipment.

The hand pumper came out of storage for a bath so it can be placed in the museum. And new back up lights were installed on the engine as well. Members continue to work Wednesday evenings ... (Full Story & Photos)

Work Night at Station 8

April 17

Work progresses as we get parts and equipment in. The in house air system is in, more cubicles were built, and hose rack put together. Some of our younger members pulled the hose cart down from the old firehouse and placed it in the museum. Some trophies were added in the revamped trophy case.

No Caption Vehicle Accident / 7456 Spring Rd, Carroll Twp

Rescue 8 along with EMS 29-1 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Units arrived the on scene of a front end collision involving a box truck and a suv. Fire members checked on hazards and assisted EMS checking out the occupants. EMS 109 was called to transport one of the patients, and EMS 29-1 transported another.
