Saturday's Training / Electric Vehicle Fire Class And A Structural Burn Class
April 19
On Saturday members from New Bloomfield and Ickesburg Fire Companies had a class involving electric vehicle fires at Station 8. Members had the opportunity to practice many techniques including an under body cooling nozzle, and a side vehicle lift to expose the batteries for hose line cooling. Also used our battery Amkus rescue tools with hose line protection to do an extrication with SCBA.

New Member Alert

At the April fire company meeting, 4 new members were voted in. Rodney Keller as an active member, and 3 former members, Lance Berquist, Chuck Moyer and Bred Bluminshien who moved away and are going back on the active roster. Thanks for joining and welcome to NBFD.

Life Member Don Walker ( Flash ) Passes Away
April 09
It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of our brother firefighter, Don Walker, on 4-8-26. Don was a life member and very active until his health no longer permitted him to answer calls. He had 22 years of service mostly helping with the fire police and events. Fireman's Club Monthly Bingo
April 02
The 1st Thursday of the month bingo was again successful with a nice crowd of bingo players. Payouts were $60 regular, $75 specials, 1st Blackout $175, and 2nd blackout $325. Our payouts are based on the number of players. (the more players, the more we pay)
