Engine and Tanker 8 along with other 1st alarm units from Perry County were dispatched to assist Newport Fire Co. with a reported house fire. Chief 10 went on scene reporting a working fire. Engine 8 was given the assignment of setting up a fill site using the hydrant by Giant Foods, while Rescue 8 crew went to the scene and assisted with fire ground operations. Rescue 8 was moved ... Engine and Tanker 8 were dispatched for a reported chimney fire at 1835 New Bloomfield Rd. Units arrived and found fire in the wall behind the woodstove. Chief 8 then requested an upgrade to the box bringing in Engine 12, Truck 12 , Tankers 12, 2 and 10, Rescue 8, and Truck 2 as RIT. Crews worked together and opened up the wall to extinguish this fire limiting the damage.

Rescue 8 along with EMS 89-1 and Medic 1 were dispatched for a vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Meck's Corner. Units arrived to find 1 vehicle over an embankment on its side. All individuals were out of the pick-up truck on fire company's arrival . Fire members checked on hazards, and EMS checked out occupants, with 1 being transported to a local hospital.
