No Caption Assisting Company 7 At A Commercial Building Fire / 633 Mountain Rd, Greenwood Twp.

Rescue and Tanker 8 were dispatched along with other fire companies from Perry and Juniata counties to assist Millerstown Fire Company with a commercial building fire.

Tanker 8 arrived on the scene and supplied water by dumping a load into a fold a tank. The crew from Rescue 8 assisted with fireground operations.

Engine 8 and its crew provided coverage for Ickesburg Fire Company during the Tuscarora Gun Bash event. Blain's engine 1-1 relieved NBFD for the second half of the event.

With storms in the forecast, training was relocated indoors and training equipment was moved to a new area within the firehouse. While members were disassembling an office cubicle and moving props, County started to dispatch Company 8 of a report of a tree on a house on West Main Street in the borough. Company 8 was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at VFW Post 7463. Upon arrival Chief 8 reported nothing evident from all sides. After investigation, it was determined that the alarm was caused by a malfunction. All units were placed available.
Engine 8 and Tanker 8 responded with a total of 9 personnel.

No Caption Wednesday Evening Of Training / Rural Water Supply

May 06

This evening, members from Station 8 and 10 had training together on rural water supply operation out at Holman Lake. New and older members had the opportunity to learn or refresh on different jobs.

Engine 10 was set up to draft water out of the lake to fill tankers. Tankers 10, 10-1 and 8 went to a dump site and dumped their water into a fold a tank. Engine 8 then drafted and supplied Truck 10 ... (Full Story & Photos)
