New update from Sutphen East. The tanker is out getting a pump and electrical system test. Some more reflective striping and lettering needs done.

Training and More Station Work

May 15

Members from Stations 7, 8 and 10 started a 16 hour state certified class; Introduction to the Fire Service. Six NBFD members will be spending the next two Wednesdays and a Saturday to start their training for the fire service.
Also, three new driver trainees completed their EVOC class.
We continue to move items from the old to the new firehouse.

Rescue 8 Participated in West Perry's Mock Crash

May 09

Rescue 8 made the trip to West Perry High School to help with a mock crash. NBFD members, along with Landisburg and Ickesburg fire companies, assisted with a simulated 2 vehicle accident with entrapment. Companies worked to extricate all victims and assisted EMS.

No Caption Training and Moving Continues Wednesday Evening

May 08

Members went in three directions tonight. New juniors went over gear and practiced getting dressed. Three new driver trainees had their 1st night of EVOC. And the rest of the members worked on moving the soda machine, more hose, extra boots and the gear washer was anchored down.

Monetary Donation Made to Pa National Fire Museum in Harrisburg

May 05

Some members from NBFD made the trip to the Pa Fire Museum to give a donation to their roof and windows replacement project. While there, members toured the museum with our own member, Linda Wertz, giving the tour. The NB Junior firefighters and NB Firemens Club each gave $250.00 towards the museum capital improvements.

May's Fire Co Meeting Has A Presentation And New Members

May 03

In March, active member Zack Miller passed away unexpectedly. His son Devin reached out to the chief requesting the purchase of his dad's fire coat. The fire officers recommended to the company that this coat be given to Devin. With the companies' blessing, the coat was presented to Devin at the May meeting. Sutphen Tanker Update

May 01

New update from Sutphen East, as some members from the tanker committee made the trip north to look over the progress once again.
The 2500 gallon tank is now mounted onto the body and compartments are getting led lighting, with 2 getting pull out trays.
The 28 ft extension and 16 ft roof ladders are ready to be set in the rack. Lots of other jobs getting done as well. ... (Full Story & Photos)
