Santa Arrives by Engine 8
December 08
Santa came to station 8 for the annual kid's Christmas party. This year the firehouse was a stop on the Holiday Town Tour, sponsored by New Bloomfield Public Library.
There were treats for big and small kids provided by New Bloomfield Firemen's Club and VFW.

Member In The Spotlight: Don (Flash) Walker

Don Walker joined the Danville Fire Company in 1956 at the age of 18, where he was a firefighter, and later became a driver.
Don and his wife, Sandy, moved to Perry County in 2002 and joined Sherman's Dale Community Fire Co in 2004

Firehouse Breakfast
November 16
The 1st of hopefully many more get togethers without getting on rigs or for a call. Thanks Pete, for saying "let's do a breakfast" and putting up a simple sign up sheet. Members shared lots of good food and drinks. Thanks to the cooks and everyone who signed up. See you next month, where I hear the menu is going to be pancakes and sausage. Wednesday Night Training

More training for members with the new tanker, using the rear intake to draft out of a fold a tank. Junior's helped with setting up drafting, then went over lighting on Rescue 8. Thanks to those who were available and participated.... (Full Story & Photos)

Station 8 Open House and Dedication

THANKS
The open house brought a lot of familiar faces and a lot of new ones too. Hundreds toured the station and many stayed for the dedication ceremony. NBFD thanks those who stopped in see the new firehouse.
