Station 8 along with units from Newport Fire Company were dispatched for a reported house fire in NBFD 1st due area. Chief 8 requested a 2nd alarm after receiving information from County as this would be a fully involved house.
Engine 8 laid 200 ft of 5 inch for Tanker 8 to pick up and supply tank water. Engine 8's crew deployed one 1.75 line to keep the fire in check and extinguish.
Newport's Tanker supplied Engine 8 with tank water and all others assisting units went available from scene.
This property has been abandoned for over 30 years and was in condemned conditions.
