Company 8 was dispatched to 550 Sherman's Valley Road in Centre Township for a reported fuel spill. As Engine 8 responded, county dispatch advised that a fuel can had been overturned. Upon arrival, crews found a leaking 4 gallon fuel can, likely fallen from a vehicle. (Some calls are as easy as flipping a pancake) Turn the container over so the hole is above the liquid level, and applied absorbent material to contain the spill.

Engine 8 responded with a total of 8 personnel.

Training
For Wednesday evening training members were back out at the acquired house. The focus was on advancing charged hose lines throughout different rooms and levels of the structure, as well as conducting victim searches.
As always thanks to the members who come out and train.

New Pump
Brush 8 was recently out of service for two weeks for the installation of a new fire pump on its skid unit, completed by Eastern Fire Equipment Services. This improvement was made possible by a grant awarded to the department by DCNR.
