On Tuesday August 19th, NBFD members attended the memorial service for Dick Groff. Dick had 57 years of dedicated service with the NBFD. Dick requested that his last ride be on New Bloomfield's old '49 Mack, so current owner of the Mack, Chad Tressler, made Dick's wish a reality. After the service Dick's casket was placed on the hose bed of the old Mack and driven around New Bloomfield, making it's way to the New Bloomfield cemetery.

A special thanks to Companies 10 and 12 for providing the ladder arch with flag at the Cemetery. A big thanks also to Company 3 for providing an engine and crew to cover our area, as well as fire police from companies 3 and 8.
