| So today we welcomed the new Sutphen rescue to Station 8.
NBFD would like to thank the rescue committee for their time seeing this rig through from start to finish. Once the contract was a go, they took trips to Sutphen East to see and check the progress till the rescue was finished. Some lettering will need finished along with mounting of tools. Plus driver training and working with the pump.
Rescue 8 has a 750 gpm Hale sidekick pump with a 300 gal tank. Also, it has a 15 kw pto generator with a 8 LED head light tower.
The tanker committee consisted of: Chief: Keith Waltz, Assistant Chiefs: Chad Tressler, Justin Kretzing, Scott Kerstetter and members Ed Orris, Steve Gallagher, and Rick Wertz (deceased). A big thanks to John Lawver our Sutphen sales rep for your help seeing this project completed. |
