Tanker 8 was dispatched to transfer to Station 41 in Carlisle Borough, while Co. 41 assisted at a barn fire in Cumberland County. No calls were taken during this stand-by.

A big thanks go out to the friends from our community who made sweet corn processing possible. The 1st thanks goes out to Dave and Patti from Little Germany Farms for providing the (fabulous) corn. NBFD members along with Dave picked over 150 dozen ears.

The 2nd thanks goes out to our community friends who came to station 8 to husk, desilk, blanch and freeze the corn.

Thirdly, thanks to our members who helped with all the other jobs that happen during this process.

Having this corn to make our chicken corn soup is so important, not only for the amazing taste, but a huge costs savings.
