Assisting Company 10 With A Woods Fire / 1818 Newport Rd, Miller Twp.

Engine 8 was out with a new driver trainee, when Newport fire was dispatched for a woods fire on Newport Rd. Engine 8 was on Pine Grove Rd within 3 miles from the woods fire. A cell call was made to Chief 10 letting him know Engine 8 was available to assist. The Engine arrived before Newport units and was directed by Chief 10-3 to go up a driveway and pull a line to the fire area. Brush 10 took another driveway and pulled a line when they arrived. Two tankers from Newport supplied water for extinguishment.
